We hope the present pandemic has not been damaging to the extent of the potential it possesses. It is in these critical situations that requires a review of the strategies, approaches and responses by the State and individuals in limiting its extent.
Scientific and technological advancements have percolated in everyone’s lives. Changes in individuals’ lives results in its implications in the State policies and approaches. In India, “developing scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform” has been incorporated under Fundamental duties for every citizen.
However, Laws and Policies play a vital role in fostering these values in the society. A review of this is pertinent in tangibly impacting each individuals’ lives and looking at its efficacy in their development. Each year, February 28 is marked as National Science Day in India. For the same, we have organized an E-Seminar on “Scientific Temperament in Public Policy: Social engineering lives” to engage and discuss scholars from diverse backgrounds on a common platform. Insights into practices and experiences from other countries would add depth to the discussions undertaken during the event. Please find attached a copy of the brochure for your kind perusal.
