Prof. (Dr.) Uday Shankar Appointed as New Full Time Registrar

Hidayatullah National Law University has appointed  Dr. Uday Shankar as a full time Registrar in the rank of a Professor of Law after an hiatus of almost two decades. Prof Uday Shankar is on lien from Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law of IIT Kharagpur and was also the founding faculty of HNLU in 2003. He served as an assistant professor at HNLU from 2003 to 2009 before joining IIT Kharagpur.

Prof Uday Shankar holds a PhD degree from the Delhi Law faculty  and specializes in the fields of Public Law; Constitutional Law; Energy Law; Human Rights, Transport Law . He has published an independent book and contributed book chapters in around 18 books. As an acclaimed researcher he has held the fellowship of  the Global Intensive Programme for Young Leading Scholars by International Association of Constitutional Law (2018). Magdalene Schoch Fellowship, Faculty of Law, University of Hamburg (2017).  Earlier he was awarded a fellowship by the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg, Germany (2008), scholarship by World Congress of Constitutional Law at the Global Intensive Programme for Young Leading Scholars Seoul, South Korea in 2018.

Prof. Uday Shankar has handled several projects at IIT Kharagpur and has managed several committees of Hostels, Moot Court, Cultural, training,  and Library. He has supervised two PhD degrees under his guidance and is an acknowledged speaker in International conference circuits.
