As you are aware, the University Grants Commission has discontinued the UGC-CARE listing of journals with effect from 11 February 2025.
Subsequently, through a Public Notice dated 16 July 2025, the UGC has issued “Suggestive Parameters for choosing peer-reviewed journals by faculty members, students, and Higher Educational Institutions” (Annexure-I). These parameters are intended to guide faculty members, researchers and students in identifying credible, ethical, and high-quality peer-reviewed journals for academic publishing.
All faculty members, researchers, and students are requested to take due note of the above and adhere to these suggestive parameters given in Annexure-I before selecting journals for sending their manuscripts for publication.
