Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh is renowned as the Founder and former Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad and the National Law University, Delhi. His prolific career encompasses a vast spectrum of influential roles in the legal and academic domains, making him a stalwart figure in Indian legal education and jurisprudence.

Prof. Singh has left an indelible mark on various esteemed institutions and organizations. He has lent his expertise to entities such as the National Legal Services Authority, Indian Law Institute, National Police Academy, and the National Committee in IPR under the Confederation of Indian Industries. His commitment to the legal profession extends to associations with the Indian Society of International Law, the Committee of Experts on Law, and the National Commission for Women, among others.

Furthermore, he has made significant contributions to academic institutions, serving on the Governing Body of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and the National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad. His intellectual pursuits have also led him to the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies in Shimla. His dedication to fostering international legal cooperation is exemplified by his involvement with organizations like SAARC LAW India Chapter and the Commonwealth Legal Education Association. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the advancement of education, having served on the All-India Council of Technical Education.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Professor N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award in 2011. He has been honored as an “Alumnus of Distinction” at the Golden Jubilee Commemorative Special Convocation of Kurukshetra University, graced by the esteemed Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. Additionally, he holds a distinguished place in the “Hall of Fame: Top 50” as an individual who has played a pivotal role in shaping the contemporary legal landscape of India.
